And so myself and member Julie Picker have been using our time to do that.
But we definitely need some reinforcements.
So today's a public hearing and then we're gonna vote on amendments throughout the week.
Uh this week and then Friday we'll take the final vote on the set of social studies standards.
Um and so I think the the end product's gonna be really good.
Uh like you said, you know, we just have to be really careful.
The Democrats are gonna introduce dozens, if not hundreds, of amendments to try to water these things down and try to get the influence of Islam in.
At our last meeting, I asked the representative for foreign terrorists organization care if they had submitted uh amendments to the Democrats.
and if they were working with the Democrat members and they said yes under oath um in the public hearing.
So we know that's happening.
So we have to fight those Democrat amendments and we'll get that final vote on Friday.
We're definitely asking them to.
I mean, you're asking the question that member Julie Pickering and I have been asking.
all along trying to figure out if they've been designated as a foreign terrorist organization, how are we allowing them to come and speak out in the open, out in public?
They should be in handcuffs, um, not at our not influencing our Texas social studies curriculum.
Um so we're asking the same exact question.
I hope that we'll get a federal designation of care as a foreign terrorist organization soon.
And I hope that we'll get um some of our leaders, our our governor and our attorney general will really push back.
But hang on, but hang on, but hang on.
