I agree.
The trend is not good.
But what I would say is we don't need that many people.
If we did a number comparison, I bet it's over 90% of individuals hold their coins in someone else's custody.
Let's say 80, 90%.
So 80 or 90% leave their coins elsewhere, but that's still roughly 50% of the supply is self-custody.
And so really what we're trying to do is hope the ideological OGs stay that way long enough.
Shout out to Satoshi for releasing half the coins in the first four years, 75% of the coins in the first eight years.
That really matters because the archetype of the early Bitcoiner is so much more ideological.
Obviously, we saw a bunch of those folks selling last fall, according to our friends who run the analysis there online.
But yeah, I
I can't blame them for selling.
Imagine holding $100 million worth of Bitcoin that you bought for a dollar a coin or 10 cents a coin.
Yeah.
I mean, it's very concerning looking around the world.
Like the U S seems to at least have some energy to try and preserve that.
I'm not keeping up with the latest in DC, but I see a lot of like Cynthia Lummis's of the world saying, Hey, we got to keep self custody legal.
I think Florida passed a rule that said you have to, um, on the other side, like the rising communism, socialism stuff, um,
They're fighting, and that group is growing very fast.
That energy is pushing back against the self-custody narrative.
