But I think without going down, without even considering the Buffett style approach is a bit of a mistake purely by the idea that there are multi-baggers out there.
Peter Lynch would say, you only need to get six out of 10 right and you'll still be rich.
Buffett says in the whole of Berkshire's history, he's made 12 really, really good investments.
And that's out of hundreds and hundreds of investment decisions that he's made.
So there's this idea that Peter Lynch introduces in his book that there are these multi-baggers out there.
And these are the stocks that don't just go up 10% a year, don't go up 15%, but they can double, triple, quadruple, 10x.
And I was lucky enough that I found a couple of these multi-baggers early on in the piece to understand that.
you may not get them very often.
In fact, they're exceptionally rare.
You might only get one every five to 10 years.
But if you take advantage of them when the market presents you the opportunity to buy them at that 50% margin of safety, then being, in my opinion, being 100% passive really holds you back when potentially these few infrequent opportunities, they are potentially life-changing, you know?
What were they for you?
For me, I use Tesla as an example, but not really because that was more speculative.
So that didn't quite follow the Warren Buffett approach.
The other two for me, smack bang in my circle of competence, Google and Meta.
Well, I understood social media.
I understood YouTube as well.
I understood Google.
And, yeah, going back about roughly 10 years is when I was looking at them.
Do you still own them?
