But the bottom line is, you know, when NPR first came about, if you looked at it.

And I'm going to do it perhaps as early as this week.

But the bottom line is, when NPR first came about, if you looked at the cross-section of their viewership, they seemed to be making a really good effort to appeal to a broad cross-section of the country and appeal to the public interest.
There's been a lot of reporting recently about how, if you look at their viewership, where they're going right now, it's a real sort of niche product at this point in time.
That raises a lot of questions.
And also remember, the reason why they have these special protections that go above and beyond
Ordinary broadcasters is they're supposed to serve the educational needs of communities.
So, for instance, they're they're considered non-commercial, which means they're not allowed to run advertisements or maybe some issues there that I'll be taking a look at and we'll flag for you when we get the chance.
