Well, on this day in 1983 at the NHL draft, the Oilers take Jeff Bukabum, 19th overall out of the Sioux Greyhounds, and Esa Tikkanen, 80th overall out of Finland.
Boogaboom played parts of six seasons with the Oilers between 1986 and 1992 before being traded to New York.
Tikkanen joined him on the Rangers in a trade two years later.
