Can we not forget the fathers in this?
Many young lads wanted to do the right thing and were also packed off to England to keep them apart.
Many men also carrying the hurt.
of not knowing where their babies went.
And I suppose this is pre-DNA, the fathers were often harder to find.
Some of them probably never knew.
Never knew.
Some of them were married.
Didn't have a choice.
Packed off to those kind of lives in England, working on the sites or whatever.

One size doesn't fit all when it comes to adoption.
This is an extremely sensitive subject.
Not all adoptions cause hurt.
And look, I think you have been talking about it very sensitively, and I think we've been talking about a particular thing that happened in Ireland.
