Russ was pretty good for the team last season.
Definitely Scott Perry, I asked him about it at one of these exit interview type of things uh during the offseason.
And he essentially said that we felt like Russ outplayed uh minimum contract last season and that's all we have to work with right now.
So that's all I have to say about it.
Um and
You know, Russ still not on a team.
I think a complicated player to fit into different spots and familiarity with Sacramento.
But you guys I feel like the biggest question is obviously they're handing the keys over to Acuff.
And would there be a scenario where I don't think it's unreasonable to think that Russ could be a better player than Acuff next season, um, at least more productive and Acuff going through rookie growing pains, but would Russ be okay?
with if with a worse player continuing to start in front of him and embrace the what I would assume the pitch of hey, you're really the backup point guard right now.
Yeah, I think I'm gonna go with mentors instead of groomers personally.
Yeah, that's probably better.
But we live in a world where grooming, Sean, I don't think is great.
Yeah, I think we're gonna pass on that one.
That that could be the last last of that decision.
That's fair.
Yeah.
I it's just interesting to me.
Obviously you guys have been around it longer, but I feel like
Say I I get what you're saying of like from the person that is expected to be the mentor, they have their own reasons that they are playing and is certainly not to just make the next guy better than them, right?
