As we've moved forward, I wanted to give you some insight voice-verified

into where we've been and where we're going as an organization, as CATS, specifically around our safety and security protocols and what we have planned for the future. voice-verified

So with that, I want to start a little bit with thinking about the last two and a half to three years, 2023, 2024, and today through 2025. voice-verified

First thing, and you'll hear from Eric in a moment, CATS last year, voice-verified

acknowledged and understood the importance of elevating safety and security to the executive level within the CATS organization. voice-verified

We added a chief safety and security officer. voice-verified

Mr. Osnes is our first chief safety and security officer and he has been on the job here in Charlotte for about four months. voice-verified

However, he has been on the job in transit security voice-verified

for most of his life as well as with federal agencies including the FBI. voice-verified

He comes to us from New York MTA and he brings with him a lot of experience around transit security and he brings with him new and fresh ideas for CATS as we think about what we can do today and also we think about the future and the possibility of our expanding transit system. voice-verified

Secondly, in 2023, coming into 2023, we had a single security contractor. voice-verified

That contractor was really approaching security from what I'm gonna call a corporate or contract security standpoint, posting guards at a position. voice-verified

Ultimately, in December of 2024, we consolidated our security contract with Professional Security Services, or PSS. voice-verified
