I think like just the fact that he said it, I'm like, yeah, there's probably a lot of people in the government of the United States who believe that aliens are real, whatever that might be.
Sure.
And that is a problem more generally with the way secrecy works within the United States and probably across the board in terms of secret agencies, is that even if you have top-level clearance, people don't just walk up to you and tell you stuff, right?
You need to be cleared for the projects that you are researching and working on.
And even as the president, you don't have access necessarily to everything.
There is, of course, things like plausible deniability.
We don't want to tell the president everything in case what we are doing comes back and, you know, it becomes a political problem.
There are reasons we don't necessarily loop the president in on everything or that we would loop people with top secret security clearance in on everything.
That itself isn't super suspicious.
That's just the way secrecy works.
Exactly.
So, you know, what we would want is him to say, okay, look, I can't tell you the details about it, but I was in the room and I got a briefing about this and this event that happened at this and this time.
We don't get any of those details in that clip.
Basically, we get a pretty generic statement that aliens are real, one that without further qualification, I too would agree with.
Exactly.
Especially then when you already begin with the bias that I believe in aliens.
And then you have a president who says, yep, there are aliens.
And then you're like, okay, great.
Case closed.
Like we've solved it.
