But I also didn't think about what it was like for Kyle to sit there helpless for three and a half hours with not a single word out of my mouth because of my anger.
And I never thought about what that must be like to be so powerless.
But there's been lots of moments like that because of what you acknowledged of, for me, the physicality of it is a lot.
I mean, that's just it's a lot to do.
But for Kyle to have to stay so mentally engaged and to feel everything that I feel, everything that he feels and use that information to help us.
It's so unbelievably difficult.
So New York was probably the most screaming we ever did at each other or the loudest, longest fight.
But what we've gotten really good at as we've gotten through this is, I mean, in Kona in 2024, I could see the ocean and there was these indications of white caps that it was going to be really windy on this particular part of the course.
And as I told Kyle, kind of just saying like, hey, this is what's going on.
He screamed at me.
He goes, you don't need to worry about that.
It was very forceful.
And we did the same thing.
We kind of got quiet.
We got silent.
And when we got to the top and we got out of the wind, I was like, I said, OK, that was just what was going on.
There was nothing more.
I just wanted you to know so we could figure out how to do it together.
And Kyle paused.
He said, OK, I love you.
