Just like with everyone else, we're looking to create competition and consistency day after day and building trust, not only with Caleb and the other quarterbacks, but within that offensive line room and then obviously with the coaching staff.
So it's just a matter of time to build trust.
There were a number of really good players coming out this year.
And, you know, we were fortunate to get one that we feel really highly about that can contribute.
run game, pass pro, catching down the field.
We feel like we got one of the more complete tight ends that this draft had to offer.
But in regards to big picture and just where the league is going, obviously teams have had success with the two tight end, three tight end sets.
Things kind of always go full circle, it seems like.
And it wasn't that long ago that three receiver sets were kind of the
the norm and now it seems to be transition on over a little bit more but I think the more you can you can look to attack the defense whether it's you want to give them a base defense or you feel comfortable competing against them when they're in their sub defenses it just the flexibility that tight ends give you I think it adds a dimension to your offense.
He's a player that we really liked.
And, you know, a quick, quick story about him.
You know, we guys do a great job trying to recruit some of these guys we think might fall through the cracks and go undrafted.
And, you know, I actually called him before the draft and let him know that we had a vision for him.
And when you take a tight end in the third round, you're kind of like, oh, shoot, what?
That might take us away from Hayden coming here.
And yet, he didn't bat an eye.
This is where he wanted to be.
And to me, that speaks volumes about how he's wired.
