So we're about 1km north of the Burj Khalifa.
Yeah, look, if you were teleported into the DIFC right now, you wouldn't know which country you're in is best way to describe it.
You could be in Canary Wharf or you could be anywhere.
So it's all glass, high-rise, fancy buildings.
It's a financial centre.
Sort of without the cars, imagine walking down Pitt Street or Collins Street.
This is exactly what DIFC looks like.
um and before we press record i said to brett any drones happening lately and you said there was a couple that went past today so it's still yesterday yeah so they're still they're still poking and prodding and there's a lot of saber rattling going on and nothing like what we saw at the beginning of uh of the conflict but certainly from our point of view right now it's um business as usual you know with these things happening from time to time
Yeah, it's been a really interesting fact.
We've had zero clients leave.
The only clients who have left either Qatar or the UAE, which are probably the two hardest hit areas, were clients who were moving back to Australia over the summer break and they just pulled the dates forward.
That was it.
All of our clients are still here.
No intentions to leave.

attitudes to people you know pre-covid it was very much a go in and do two or four years on a contract make some bank and get out of there now it's home people have businesses here their own property here they've got dogs and cats makes it very difficult to get animals back to australia the waiting periods are so long so yeah this is home for 28 000 australians

And now when you live overseas, you have to file a notification to the ATO to say, hey, I live in London, New York, Dubai, Hong Kong.
This is my overseas income.
And then they will send you a notice of assessment based on you get, there's sort of three ways you can make a lodgement.
