Well, this is going to be a very conclusive and long search by new vice president of basketball operations, Bryson Graham.
He made it clear that he wants to change the vision and the image of the Bulls, and I think that Bulls fans are very much on board with everything that he's selling them right now.
Those coaching candidates, like you mentioned, that we reported at Clutch Points, Chris Quinn of the Miami Heat and a longtime assistant under Eric Spolstra, Micah Norrie, who's been involved with numerous head coaching positions through the years, been rumored to
as being a head coaching candidate from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Sean Sweeney, who has emerged as one of the best young names from the San Antonio Spurs.
Dave Bliss, another young name from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
And then obviously Tiago Splitter from the Portland Travelers, who was their interim head coach this past year, was tied for seventh in the coach of the year voting.
Those are names that we have all confirmed at Clutch Points as candidates for the Bulls' opening.
You had Mark J. Spears, I believe it was yesterday or the day before, come out and mention Johnny Bryant, Cavaliers' longtime assistant.
He has a really good relationship with Donna Mitchell, one of the better young coaching minds in the league.
So it just goes to show that Bryson Graham isn't going to back down from some of the big names that are out there in terms of the rising coaches up the ranks.
And he wants a fresh voice.
He wants a younger voice that is going to be able to relate with this young team that he's going to build.
And that starts in the NBA draft with the number four pick.
And they're going to end up with one of those four generational talents at the top, whether it be A.J.
DeBonta, Darren Peterson, Cam Boozer, or what looks the most likely, Caleb Wilson at this point.
From my understanding, everybody that has reached out to the Wizards has gotten the sense that Washington is not moving the number one pick.
And the Bulls, as we reported, were one of those teams that had done their due diligence on that number one pick.
And it just feels necessary, if you're a team in the top five, to reach out and just see what it would take to get the number one pick.
That's what Bryson Graham and the Bulls have done.
