I think he's got really smart above-the-neck game.

I think he's really able to dissect blitzes.

Here's my thing with him.

One, I think that his mechanics are kind of a mess.

That's been an issue for him throughout his career.

Now, Ohio State kind of locked him into something there in that postseason run they had last year, and that really helped them.

Can he continue that?

I think that would be a nice step towards him.

He doesn't use his eyes well enough post-snap.

When teams change the picture, things really fall apart and he can run into some real trouble.

I don't think he has elite tools.

I think that's something he's got prototypical size.

I think the arm's good, but not elite.

I don't think he has elite athleticism, but it's functional.

But really the big thing is I don't know how he handles –

the mental side of football paired with the mechanics.

Those two things are the reason he fell.

And plus, without elite tools, you get where he's at.

Now, I think he can be really good, but here's the matter of the fact.

If he ends up equaling the career Mason Rudolph has, that's a great outcome for Will Howard.
