That is an ant.
Tough day for Adam Carolla show guest Dinesh D'Souza, who was charged in January with illegal finance contributions.
Illegal contributions to a U.S.
Senate candidate.
And so he was sentenced today to five years of probation in order to serve eight months in a community confinement center, which I'm guessing is a super nice jail.
And he's also ordered to pay a $30,000 fine, attend weekly counseling sessions, and do one day of community service a week for the length of his probation.
So what happened is he encouraged his then-fiancΓ© and someone else to each give $10,000 to this person that he wanted to run, and then he said he would pay them back.
Do you think he should be punished?
Right, but not held in this β I don't know exactly what he did that this feels β Well, contributions were limited to $2,500 from an individual to a single federal candidate.
So he found this way around it.
His then-fiancΓ©.
I don't know who the other one was.
Still, I know there's a crime that he's tampering with what should be an honest elective.
I'm sure people wish they could.
But it's an attempt to keep it a level playing field.
I also think there's a suggestion that, like, come on, you knew what you were doing.
Oh, yeah.
So he claimed that he was being selectively targeted.
Like, Obama's trying to shut me up because he has spoken out against Obama.
