Like this guy just kind of opened his soul out of boredom.
And this guy's... And he goes, Charlie, do you want the story or you want the whole story?
He goes, we've all been there.
We've all been there.
And he said, I'll go first and then we'll go in the circle.
And he says, guys, we only have time for one of your big clangers, not the top five.
And one of the most successful group people I was ever with in my life.
We all went around this table, eight of us, sharing the major clangers we had had in our business.
Terrible decisions, brutal mistakes, and this guy stood there.
And it was the most affirmed I ever saw a man in my life.
He felt like a fraud, he felt like a phony, that he had nothing to offer.
Turns out, his idea was eventually what got the building built.
That's not making it up.
He had it about six months later, he came through with the breakthrough that made this thing happen.
but he felt like he shouldn't even be there because he'd made a mistake or because he was struggling or he was going through a bad time in his business.
And a lot of people are going through a bad time.
And so very wise, older man, everybody fess up.
You're not alone.
And that's why you want to go through it with people.
You want to have a coach, a buddy, a partner, a group, a small group, because life's hard on its own, you know?
