And then Rob and I would walk across the street to DOJ and brief Beauvais and his team.
And then at times we would be held back for stay behinds and have conversations just with the three of us.
Eventually that evolved again, like a week or two into my tenure as acting director and
was asked for what everybody knows I was asked for by now, which was a list of FBI employees that worked investigations into the president.
Yeah, it was specified in a memo that's detailed in the litigation.
It was pretty specific, and then there were already names listed on there of other individuals, like heads of divisions and others.
You know, I offered like, listen, I'm trying to understand the desire to end state with your request.
They will be subject to a DOJ led review.
And I said, okay, I don't know what that means.
Are you trying to say all the processes we just discussed?
Is it internal inspections?
Is it OIG?
Is it Office of Professional Responsibility?
I gave like three or four and not just me, Rob and others.
