We already talked about Amendment five uh related to the income tax, but amendment four
is uh the measure that would make it much harder to change the Missouri Constitution.
One of our listeners, Douglas, asked why are amendments four and five on the August ballot?
It seems to me it would get more voters and a better cross section of voters in the November midterms.
Why did you assign those ballot issues to the August ballot instead of November?
It's a more than a little bit more difficult.
In fact, uh reporting today showed that that uh no no ballot initiative since the year twenty twenty would have been approved under these new rules.
That that as few as five to ten percent of of the state's voters, if it's just in one congressional district, could actually stop the will of the other seven congressional districts.
