Go get an open source neural network model that does

You know, perception, train it in simulation, go get one of the low-cost arms that you can even, or buy one or 3D print one at home.

Lead Robot has a good model.

And you can start playing with this stuff yourself and just get familiar with it.

Even if you don't have a particular application in mind, just learn about the technology and see what it sparks in you.
