For the past many, many years, and keep in mind, Governor Abbott's been a governor for 11 years.

For the last decade, if you show up at a DMV, a Department of Motor Vehicle, and you want to register your vehicle, as long as you had a passport, not an American passport, any passport from any country...

Good enough for the Texas DMV, and you were allowed to register your vehicle and drive on the streets here in the state of Texas.

Well, I found out about this a few weeks ago and brought exposure to this.

Y'all melted the phone lines of the governor.

They secretly snuck out what they're calling a clarification late last night to tax offices all across the state of Texas, and they are implementing a new policy to now actually require proof of legal status before they just issue you a vehicle registration.

So this is a huge victory, and I can tell you,

It's already being implemented.

I just got off the phone.

I live in Ellis County, Texas.

I just got off the phone with our tax collector down here, Richard Rozier.

And he confirmed that as soon as he got that new policy change, he has immediately ordered his team to begin implementation.

So we are making a difference.
