Steve, I don't know how many times I've been on your show this year talking about how Texas, despite the fact that we have this reputation for being a bold conservative Republican MAGA state,

Our government is actually very blue, even though the Texas voters are very red.

Well, the Texas government has been one of, if not the biggest funders, as crazy as this sounds, a DEI, perhaps in all of the country.

And in fact, just one program, the biggest DEI program in Texas is called our HUBBS program, Historically Underutilized Businesses.

And what it is, is the comptroller of the state of Texas has been requiring every single state agency,

When they issue any kind of contract to use minimum DEI criteria here, and I'll give you just a couple examples.

For every construction contract in Texas, a minimum of 21% had to be awarded on the basis of race or gender.

For any special trade construction contracts, 30%.

3% must be awarded on the base of race and gender.

For every professional services contract, 24% on the basis of race and gender.

Facially unconstitutional.

I referred the comptroller to the Trump Department of Justice two months ago, exposed this for the past several months.
