So it's not really been the elected officials controlling the government.

It's been the entrenched rich elite special interest.

And president Trump is an existential threat to that.

And the state of Texas should be a multiplying force and an amplifier, right?

for what President Trump is trying to do and break the mold from the illiberal to the people.

Well, I say as a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie class of 2004, and it's one of the reasons that people, why are you picking on A&M so much?

Well, I love A&M.

They educated me.

They're one of the best public universities in the country.

They were the most conservative.

Big time.

But now they've been taken over by leftists because our governor has appointed a bunch of woke progressive leftists that have allowed this leftist Marxist socialist ideology to proliferate unchecked.

And now the hardworking men and women of the state of Texas, they're being taxed out of their homes, the highest property tax in the country, by the way, to fund the leftist ideology, which leads us to the transgender movement, the transgender violence.

Hang on.

There was one.

Here's what I'll tell you, and it's heartbreaking and it's infuriating.

Texas has a reputation, Steve, for leading and conservative values and individual liberty and freedom.

Here's the reality.

We've just been coasting on that reputation for a generation.

And yeah, one analysis, people think we're a low-tax, low-regulation state.
