There's there's plenty of systems where they have these progression reads and you really don't worry about what the

defense is doing you go le left to right or right to left.

But if you can get to the place where

you see the defense and they're telling you where to go with the football and that's look, I I like I said, I was taught that way from high school level, college level, and then the first four years of my career was with Tom Brady, who uh you would argue no one did it better at reading the defense and having the defense tell 'em where to throw the football.

Um, spending time with Ben Johnson.

And also I always thought like once you master your offense, now you really shift your focus to the defense and understand, okay, if I get this play called and it's cover one, this is where I want to go.

I don't really need to read everybody else.

This is my matchup, that's where I'm gonna go.

If it's cover two, I'm gonna work this zone concept.

So there's a lot that goes into it.

I don't think kids are taught at a low level anymore.

I'm actually driving to my son's freshman football.

uh w surprisingly was offered the opportunity to coach him at last minute.

So I've I'm coach I'm out there coaching him to read defenses at the freshman level.

So it's got to come from coaching and then you got to trickle up uh all the way up to the NFL.

Well th to me what I've always looked at i is you have to find the safety.

That's when when the play is about to be snapped, those guys will give you the information more than any other player on the field.

So I always had a checklist.

I'd come up, I'd look at the front.
