I had played for the Browns, my hometown team, but I thought it was pretty cool uh living up there in Lake Forest and playing for the Bears, a a historic franchise until Clay Matthews uh speared my left forearm and shattered it into pieces. matched

I mean, I thought I was gonna be in Chicago forever.

It was I I know the the result wasn't always great in the win and loss column, but that was probably the best stretch of football that I played and and that really was a testament to Dal Loggins, who was the um offensive coordinator at the time.

I had a relationship with him and we really uh worked well together.

The quarterback coach Dave Vergone, who's now out in LA as the passing coordinator with the Rams.

So um man, I was with Midwest kid.
