I'd like to say it does.
For me, it's definitely got easier.
It's got more enjoyable.
I feel like I have more of an aerial view on things instead of being in the weeds and not being able to see above them.
I feel like I have a much more experienced eye across all the aspects of the business.
And when I'm around the table, I can see that strength and experience come out in the sense of I've seen this before.
you see a lot of things.
You see a lot of scary things.
You see a lot of great things.
But you also see ways of doing things smarter and cleverer that can get you to where you need to go without having to do it a roundabout way.
But hiring good people
is really key to get to where you want to get.
But identifying good people versus bad people very early on becomes something that I've only got good at with experience.
Because the first thing now I look for is not a CV, it's the energy that person gives me.
if they suck the energy out of me in a conversation, they are not to be part of my team.
And that's just... Some people give it, some people don't.
But if you take energy from someone instead of giving energy to someone, that's not a good trait to have for me.
It's amazing how much people overlook that.
Like, you know... That's the number one for me.
It's wild.
