I still suck.
But with trading, there's so many traders that get into it, and they don't get fully equipped to deal with the challenges of this occupation, and they don't achieve the levels of proficiency and skill enough to earn a living at this.
And some of the arguments I've had have been with clients.
And they're like, well, Brian, the thing is, you know, don't tell me I have a lack of training.
I know how to trade.
That's like, that's not the point.
The point is, this is a high competition environment here.
This is the major leagues.
This is not poker night with your buddies.
You're up against really well-resourced competition here and an entire world of it.
You have to bring your A game if you want to make a living here.
You can't just come in here and say, oh, I know how to trade and expect to be making a living from it.
It doesn't work that way.
You have to reach a certain level of proficiency.
Or the other way I like to describe it is if profitable trading has a certain skill level and it's up here that you have to reach.
And if you only learn how to trade but you don't focus on developing yourself as a trader and your skill and your understanding and you just stay here, it's going to be rough.
And you're going to have a hard time with it.
You're going to struggle.
And it's going to be an emotional experience that never ends.
It's only when you bring your skill level up to the requirements for the job that it starts getting easy and your emotions calm down.
