We wanted to do it a little bit more strategically.
So we felt that the most logical expansion would be fully in North America, Canada.
A lot of the same labor statistics and a lot of the same economic analysis that applies in the U.S., many of those same things apply, as you know, to our friends north as well.
And the hospitality industry is no difference.
The industry is growing exponentially.
Restaurants Canada published something this week about 25%
years of growth, and they also have the same challenges with the tight labor market.
So we felt that Canada would be the next logical foray into international.
our disclosure document and our program was approved about three or four months ago in Canada.
We engaged a PR firm to put a marketing blast on and then began to deploy our franchise development approach there.
And we just awarded our first regional developer for Eastern Canada that will be opening in the Niagara Falls area in Canada in April.
And I'll be at the CFA, the Canadian Franchise Show, next week.
We are looking for a West Coast Canadian regional developer to help us grow our brand there as well.
Then Patrice and I have a list once we establish our roots and our footprint there.
and our client base in Canada.
Then we're looking to develop in other markets as well.
But we want to go international.
Obviously, hospitality is an international industry, and I know Patrice can probably tell you we place people all over the world.
We just want to make sure that we're doing it smart.
