And then as soon as a contentious issue occurs,

comes to pass, and a decision has to be made, and all comms is cut, and it goes on the big screen, and then there's communication between referee and TMO.

The TMO is speaking to the director over the course of the game, behind the scenes as well, because he'll key in going, I want to have a look at that.

Can I have a look at that?

Because they don't want stoppages the whole time.

So there's that communication piece going on the whole time, and

will be calling in different angles because they don't have operatives with them so they they are relying reliant on the director to give them the necessary angles that they are looking for they have a real time screen and they've got a delayed screen as well I don't know is it four or five seconds so if they think they catch something on screen one they can have a look to see what's happening it's almost like a quick speed replay and then it changes for Six Nations there's um

They have their own truck or port-a-cabin or whatever on site.

They have their own operatives.

But yet, when it comes to decision-making, there's still a reliance on the director, host broadcaster director, to be able to run those pictures in when they're looking for different angles rather than the operatives.

I do commentary occasionally for TNT, and we have, for the most part, two or three of the same directors.

They've got very good relationships.

With the TMOs, the last thing, we're not trying to catch anyone out.

And you might argue, yeah, should they be listening to commentary, having their views swayed?

There's an argument in that for sure.

But also we're...

They're big boys to be able to go, if they hear something, go, let me have a check of that.

And they go, no, I don't agree.

And listen, lots of times I don't agree with Austin Healy.

And he's called Blue Murder or whatever.
