It's really important to me.

Well, I never really thought about that.

I've always loved sports.

I've always played lots of different sports.

Now, maybe in later years, I'm in my 40s now, less and less often.

But, you know, never really played.

I played for schools and things like that, but never really had the time

beyond the school schedule to be playing other sports because the weekends, the evenings were all sort of caught up with, you know, training from a dance perspective.

But my favourite years in life were, I can tell you exactly where it is, I can still see it, when you turned onto Arrow Road, the lamppost that had the tree that was about eight yards away from it and four yards behind the lamppost and the tree with the back wall of the nuns' convent, so it was great if you scored a goal.

You know, the ball wasn't halfway across the field.

There was the little worn out between those two things.

I mean, it was mad to think about being a goalkeeper in a game of heads and volleys because you literally had two yards of grass.

If you came out of your box, you were having to climb over the curb and then dive onto the concrete of the tarmac to try and save something, you know.

So heads and volleys at the end of the road in my latter years.

Thankfully, the nuns didn't seem to mind us hopping over the convent wall too often.

So I loved it in that regard.

I enjoyed it.

I always enjoyed playing sport, but never really got to play sports at a hugely competitive level because I just didn't have the time.

Well, the interesting question he called to ask me would be, do I now, as a judge on Dancing with the Stars, wish I'd spent more time on my football and less time on my dancing and maybe I could be up for a Man United manager's job?

Who knows?
