It's an abdication of mature responsibility of the worst kind to me.
And what lessons can you draw from all of this that speak to us today?
As I said before, I think that political leaders, both at the local level, the state level, and the national level, have a moral responsibility to be thoughtful and restrained in the words that come out of their mouth when it comes to dealing with highly volatile issues.
And I think those who were assigned to deal with protests ought to be very well trained in minimizing the use of force, de-escalating tensions, and trying to act with restraint rather than excessive force.
