Like I felt like I was still that version of myself or
When I had a lot of the decor up when I was in my kind of angsty, feral era, I felt like I was kind of holding on to something like that.
So to be able to reset my space, and I'm not saying spend a lot of money, but even if it's like...
Printing out a picture and putting it up or just rearranging things or taking old things down It really does help make sure that you are up to date with the kind of person who you want to be And they do say that your space and your environment is a reflection of what's going on internally So make sure you are prioritizing that as well again the deep clean the spring clean.
It is a pruning season think spring
flowers, pruning.
Pruning is taking things out of your life that no longer need to be there and that does count for your space.
Holding on to clutter is such an energetic thing.
Holding on to things that are no longer serving you does go as far as things in your room.
So if it's old papers, if it's trash, if it's clothes that you've been waiting to wear or maybe some sentimental thing, that hoodie from your ex that you've been hoarding, you don't need it.
I love the Marie Kondo method of holding things and asking if it sparks joy.
That is so good.
And honestly, you'll find that if you touch something in your room, it probably won't spark joy.
And so there's a lot of space to be made.
But I love it because this way, when it's summertime and the weather's nice and you're opening your blinds, you're just laying back, relaxing in the summer sun, you will have a beautiful, clean, spacious environment to come back to that just doesn't feel like it holds any weight.
Like I know for me, when I come in my room...
and I haven't reset or refreshed it in a long time, it feels heavy almost.
Like it feels like it's just taking up a lot of space and there's not even really room for me in there.
And of course, your wardrobe.
So taking things out of your closet, again, maybe stuff that doesn't fit you, stuff that doesn't look good on you anymore, that is a game changer.
