I'm not addicted to my phone anymore.
I'm so much happier now.
I love your channel more than any other, and you're such an idol.
Ellie, thank you for sharing that, and I'm so glad, guys, you heard it here first.
Someone who, because of the podcast, has been able to create some distance, healthy distance, between them and their phone.
So we're going to dive in today.
Number one thing I want to touch on is the fact that the reason a lot of us need our phones is because we are...
I'm just going to say it, addicted to it.
We are addicted to it.
It's kind of like if you give a mouse a cookie, right?
I got my first iPod Touch when I was in fourth grade.
Fourth grade, maybe even third.
And back then...
mind you videos were not a thing on social media you could not scroll and watch videos and watch videos that wasn't a thing so like doom scrolling wasn't really a thing back then but then once social media comes out and everyone's getting on tiktok right and you're like well let me just see what this thing's about and you watch a few videos and you're like oh these are funny let me watch a few more
And the next thing you know, it's been four hours and you've wasted your entire day.
The sun is down and all you've done is lay in bed and look at all these other people living their lives instead of actually living your own, which is a little funny.
I'm going to try not to be harsh in this video because I actually, funny enough, I backslid.
i'm not going to lie i've been doing pretty well on creating distance between my phone and i not scrolling but being able to go on still post still interact with you guys but not doom scrolling and then i totally backslid i'm not gonna lie these past few days i've been scrolling and so the reason why i feel like i am at liberty to say this is because i am a walking example of how much you can get done when you're not on your phone versus the amount of things that you are not doing when you are in a paralysis
when your phone is quite literally glued to your hand, I've gotten almost nothing done in these past few days.
And ironically, I did a challenge for myself where I basically called it a phone fast.
