And think about how much it would hurt you or make you sad if your favorite person in the world, family member, friend, relationship, and you think of them and they were actually struggling really deeply.
They were super hurt, super depressed, super anxious, super overwhelmed.
And they didn't tell you.
And they put on a brave face this whole time and you're just treating them like they're normal and you're just going on talking about yourself.
Now, flip the script, don't be that person.
Don't be that person who hides their feelings from other people.
No, you don't have to be so open with every single person you come across, but don't try to play a role that is not aligned with what you are feeling right now.
Because the longer that we suppress our emotions, the bigger they get.
The more we shove it down, the bigger the buildup and the bigger the explosion.
You are wasting energy pretending that you are fine.
Ignoring the truth does absolutely nothing.
But true healing starts when you stop performing and start allowing yourself to be honest with not only you, but the people around you.
The reason why this is so important is because we have to actually be able to process what we are going through in order for it to actually do anything at all.
When you are at rock bottom, if you just sit there in rock bottom with a blank stare waiting for it to pass,
You are not going to benefit at all from it.
But the good news is, rock bottom can be beneficial.
I know that sounds insane.
If you do the inner work and reflecting that comes with it.
So sit with your emotions.
Do not suppress them.
