If your screen time daily on social media is six hours and you want to set it to 15 minutes right now, that might not be something that you're going to find yourself sticking to.
But maybe if it's five hours, take it down to three hours at first, then take it down to two.
Make it something that is an achievable goal for you.
Otherwise, if you just start straight off the gun with like something unrealistic, you won't hold yourself as accountable.
Secondly,
Once you do that screen time, please do not override it every single time.
Like actually even give someone else the password that you don't have if you need to.
And you don't have to make this for your whole phone because I know that there's emergencies.
People want to be in contact with each other.
But at least the scrolling apps.
The scrolling apps are the number one way to help outroot your phone addiction.

I, for one, will always vouch for long-form, informative content.
You consuming this will benefit you.
But if you are consuming rant videos or negative videos or meme videos all the time only...
Think of all the better ways that you could have spent your time.
And also, like, I love a good, funny, brain-wrought Instagram reel every now and then.
But what's hard is, like, if you watch one and you keep scrolling and you keep scrolling, like, oh my goodness.
It is a gateway drug.
It actually is.
