I have one of those toothbrushes that stops automatically at two minutes, so I don't even have to pay attention to how long I'm doing it.
It's electric, so I don't have to try that hard.
When I'm doing it, guys, I'm not even kidding, I will do like squats or side steps.
This morning, I did like a little one leg crunch thing, bringing my knee to my chest and like crunching over because I was like, I feel like I haven't moved my core in
a while and it made a difference because i'm like you know what even if i did nothing today at least i did the bare minimum and also when we are kind of just out of tune with our bodies it's almost like we're neglecting it i feel like once i have a day where i am laying in bed doom scrolling
It makes it easier for me then the next day to say, okay, I'm going to have another lazy day.
Or, you know what, I don't need to wash my face today because I'm just having one of those days where I'm deciding to neglect my body.
That is not good.
You have to clear out that all or nothing mindset that one bad day means the rest of the week is going to be a lazy day.
And also what you need to do is decide when in your routine...
you are just going to have your no matter what.
I like to call this your bare minimum list.
Even if you are having the worst day ever, your boyfriend breaks up with you, your dog dies, you are going to do this.
I heard a doctor once talking about how when he bakes his coffee every morning, he will lift weights or do like pushups on the counter just because it takes a few minutes.
But you know, even if I did nothing for myself all day,
I did these little things.
And so it's not just so much the physical impact, right?
Because you might be thinking, what is five minutes going to do for my physique?
Walking for five minutes or doing five pushups is not going to make me look skinnier or stronger, but you are creating
this expectation for yourself in your head.
