And Luca, who is a the Joycean uh professor of Joyce Studies in UCD, he immediately said that's what's gonna be the headlines.
The fact that Frank says the Christmas dinner scene did not take place.
And I'm hearing now from other Joycians, and that's really interesting to me that we have a need for this scene to have taken place.
I think we think it took place because the writing is so
Naturalistic.
It's we are just in the head of this young child who's kind of hearing about sex and politics, understanding nothing but registering the emotion.
It is so beautifully done.
And I suppose I think that's the fact that it's beautifully done probably should tell us that it wasn't true because nobody remembers in that seamless way.
