range in i you have to because otherwise you can't even judge what the consultants are telling you.

So countries that deliver big projects well on budget and to time always m have more in house expertise than than external expertise.

In Ireland we tend to have predominantly external expertise.

And the difficulty then is how do you judge the quality of what's been given to you?

How you marry the generalist expertise in public policy with real hardcore uh specialism and technical expertise?

The uh the energy and the budget were the others, but but uh but then in terms of in addition to that there were the danger of public sector strike.

corporate tax, uh Irish unity and the presidency.

But the the big one there is the danger of public sector strikes in the autumn because it looks as if the paid negotiations are going to they're going to have to wait for after the budget.

The unions are looking for indexed uh wage indexation to inflation, which is something that probably the government would be very concerned about.

So where is there a lack of the state?

It's not getting any attention but but there are ballots ongoing in the in in the public sector unions.

So we could have a winter of discontent.

I think the government is probably hoping the budget will quell some of that.

Uh but let's see those are not going to be easy negotiations precisely because of all of all that we discussed in relation to the pressures in public expenditure.

So I don't think we could a cheer in as a Bruce Springsteen who go you know, who heads on politics.

So he's not that kind of artist.

Uh and yeah, Elish O'Hannon uh in her piece today argues that there should also be the right not to express an opinion on a contentious issue.
