Their nervous system does not accept that.

It doesn't feel safe.

So with PTSD, it's a mind and body disconnection.

So I talk to them.

I make them feel like they're a person and like they're seen.

I go over their health care with them.

I educate them on it.

And I let them know like, hey, you're not broken.

You're not abnormal.

like everybody just like you in this clinic is struggling with something.

And guess what?

I'm one of them.

I know exactly what you're speaking with.

Like, it's like a mirror.

So that kind of lets them, you know, they relax and eventually some of them will, will trust me enough to go face down.

And when they do that, I can't break that trust.

Like their body has accepted that this is a safe space.

So I can't take that from them because some of them haven't had that ever.

We don't do music or aromas, actually.

We don't want them distracted.
