You were expected to know all the time.

And it was a big learning curve.

Like I went half the season living out of a hotel.

I remember the whole, after I got this little apartment above a bar, it was like all I could afford in downtown Baltimore.

I slept on the floor on a mattress on the floor that whole year.

So I think people think it's like a super glamorous job.

But it took me the entire first year to like actually properly move into my place.

And by then you're like ready to go to spring training again.

So it was a really hard but really awesome like first year.

Like I still loved it.

So it's like, OK, this is for me.

I still like this job, even though it's hard and it's negative and everybody is angry at me.

And so I think that was like a good reinforcement that this is the path you want to be on.

Yeah, that's a great question.

Somebody told me early on that it takes forever to build a reputation.

It takes seconds to destroy it.

And so early on, especially, like I said, I was 22 years old.

I wanted to be taken seriously.

Looking back, did I go a little overboard at times?
