of our businesses and our brands to these LLMs when in fact there's so much work to do internally, get that behavioral layer fine tuned and as optimal as possible.

Tracking adoption and token numbers is the problem.
We've treated them like success metrics when they have nothing to do with whether anything useful gets done.
And now organizations are living in the consequences of that failed AI strategy.
The same teams that were hitting walls 18 months ago are still hitting them, plus mounting security risks from AI experiments that nobody properly scope and vibe coding tools that make people think they can build whatever they want.
And there's financial pressure from model costs that nobody budgeted for the type of volume that we're actually hitting.
The data says that adoption happened.
It doesn't say anything productive happened.
What these numbers are also telling us is that the adoption struggling is not a technology problem.
It's a leadership vacuum and a broken train model.
Teams just aren't equipped to succeed.
That 79% of managers haven't demonstrated AI use to their own team.
That is not a statistic about technology adoption.
That is a stat about leadership behavior and failed culture.
The people who are supposed to model the change haven't done it.
