I'm not saying he's doing this, but there is a real advantage to say, I don't care.
Because this is how I think Martin Zamani has incredible results.
And he's a guy who, and I'm not saying he's the guy, but he's one of the most notable guys who I think he obviously does some stuff that's wildly spewy, but he does really well.
And I think part of it is that everyone knows that if you go
1v1 versus Amani for a lot of chips, he's not going to back down.
And so what happens is you win a lot of free money.
If no one's messing with you all the time, you get to run people over and you might actually care about the ICM, but you can just say you don't.
That's the best thing ever.
People think you don't care and they let you just win a lot of free money.
And then they'll also stack off to you because they're like, well, this guy's just going after it and not giving a crap.
you now get your value paid and your your bluffs and your opens they just get through more so i'm not saying he's doing that but there's a huge advantage to doing that and i thought ike ike said this in a podcast maybe seven years ago or something and i remember it because i was like man i'm known as a guy a little bit who definitely adjusts for icm constraints and i'm like maybe i shouldn't
make that known as much and i've gone back and forth on it because all icm sims assume the tournament ends there's no future game so obviously if you double up and you have the big chip lead you're going to have a huge bb per hundred inherently because everyone has to be tight and icm sims don't take that into account i mean they have a few future game sims that go a few hands into the future but yeah so kind of funny i think that sean definitely embodied the i don't give a crap but i mean it's 10 million up top you have kids like you give a crap
Yeah, I see exactly what you're saying.
So like in the main event, the base level of ICM is going to be lower and therefore saying, I don't give a crap about it and expecting people to play good ICM versus you.
It's just not going to.
But so I definitely agree with you on that.
The only thing is that like,
When you get deep in the main, there's an inherent who cares less has an advantage.
