The, the court ruled, uh, officers again, most generally obtain a search warrant before entering clearly posted fenced gated or otherwise marked private property to investigate wildlife violations.

The decision overturns Pennsylvania Supreme Court's 2007 ruling, Commonwealth v. Russo, which had allowed game wardens to enter open fields on private land without a warrant.
Now, the case background is there's a couple of hunting clubs in Pennsylvania, the Punxsutawney Hunting Club and the Pitch Pine Hunting Club, that challenged the Game Commission's authority to enter posted lands.
There's some history here.
The clubs alleged that Pennsylvania game wardens entered their posted property dozens of times over several years without permission or a search warrant.
According to court filings, they hid in camouflage on club property, conducted surveillance with binoculars, installed trail cameras on the club's land without the owner's knowledge or consent.
Now, this is the more recent happenings.
This all goes back to a 2013 incident after a game warden confronted a member of the Pitch Pine Hunting Club over allegedly feeding bears.
The member later learned that the officer had been secretly observing activity on the club's property for several days.
No citation was issued, but the club members
objected to the activity that was going on.
Since 2013, game commission officers entered the club's posted private property 15 to 22 times.
I'm not sure about why that number's not exact.
I'm sure if you got into the details of the court case, you'd understand why it's not exact, but enough times
that they viewed it as a major problem.
Again, without consent, a warrant, or probable cause.
