I think we've been fed this line that women are meant to age gracefully, but what does gracefully mean?
How do you define gracefully?
Because I think it's too little intervention, and it's like you've let yourself go.
Too much intervention, and it's like you've become a victim of beauty standards.
So I think, again, it's about really defining what feels good to you.
And for me, what feels good are the makeup practices that feel like adornment.
Not like, okay, I'm like... I stopped getting eyelash extensions because it was just like... One...
I felt ugly without them, which is, that's a real issue, right?
Like when you, when you start doing something so much that you're like, you see yourself without your eyelashes and you're like, oh my gosh, like I don't feel beautiful.
It's like, who is she?
But it, it, it totally, it was like giving me like facial dysmorphia in a way.
Also, it takes forever.
It's like an hour and a half.
You're lying down.
Your eyes are literally sealed shut.
Exactly.
And then a few fall out.
You're looking crazy.
