Pierre's father told you he said shortly before his death
That he just wasn't feeling well.
He said it on the phone.
He couldn't do this anymore.
Now his dad knew that he was depressed, but he doesn't believe that he took his own life.

We talked about this a few times on the show, most recently about the crisis trans people now face in the US.
The phrase was coined by legal scholar Ernst Frankel, a Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany, and he describes two states, what he calls the normative and the prerogative.
