I went to a team my first year in Oshawa where a lot of first-round draft picks, a lot of draft picks in general.

And so it was definitely a bit of a learning curve and learning how to be around those guys.

But I think, again, I think everything worked out how it was supposed to.

So that's been amazing.

It's been an unreal experience.

yeah i mean i'm i'm pumped again like again next time i'm new and i think being coachable has been my biggest trait so far because i have a lot to learn so just kind of hear what everybody has to say and kind of taking taking something from every conversation it's going to be huge especially now you know with nhl team with a lot of guys to know what they're doing it's going to be it's going to be huge for me and i'm really excited to get there and you know hear what these guys have to say and what they want for me this next season for my development and you know hopefully we'll be able to take the next steps and you know hopefully be able to

you know be uh be vying for a spot here in a couple in a couple years brooks for uh for the canucks fans listening who maybe aren't familiar with your game tell us what uh what you bring and and what uh what your identity on the ice is yeah so i think i'm a 200 foot center you know plays the defensive side of the game you know does all the small things kills penalties can be on the power play if you need to um

uh, you know, just kind of, kind of does it all as willing to do whatever's needed.

He'll, he'll fight, I'll fight if I need to, I'll score if I need to, you know, I'll do whatever's asked of me.

And I think that's, uh, I think that's where my identity is, uh, kind of doing what's asked of me and doing, doing what's needed to me.

Yeah.

So, I mean, obviously I'm pretty raw.

So, so I'm going back to OHL for another year, just get the, you know, the 68 games, all the reps I need there and I'm committed to Michigan state.

So after my year in Oshawa, I'll commit, I'll go into Michigan state and, you know, have a year to develop physically there and play against some older guys.

And I think, yeah, just having that, those, those two teams carved out for me is going to be, it's nice, you know, and obviously I have Vancouver and I have them in my ear too, listen.

So I have a lot of,

a lot of great people helped me out and a lot of great staff helped me out.

So I, um, confident, you know, my development path is pretty confident.

Well, I mean, for me, it's just more of that, you know, I get to play a kid's game the rest of my life.

Right.
