think yeah, I I think that the question of whether or not formal negotiations or some discussions is a meaningful question.
Um part of why I say that is that
I think on the American side, whatever they say that that is part of their spin, um, and Lutnik is probably the worst person uh that they ever put out there to speak about this.
He's kind of like um
He's wa he's in Washington version of Pete Hextra.
Um who by the way, I don't know if that petition to re see him out the door has hit three hundred thousand yet, but it's a really meaningful number of Canadians who've put their names to that.

So a short answer from my standpoint is
The Americans are starting to see that even what they were proposing was going to be extremely harmful to a number of industries, including not just their farmers, but also their auto manufacturing sector.
Michigan's an important swing state, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Americans say, We'd like to get back to some discussions about this, because the damage that those tariffs that are coming could do to their own auto industry is really, really serious.

It's not great that summer's almost over, but it's good to see you guys again.
Mirrors is I think people basically saying, don't look at that, look at this, trying to create a distraction.
And God knows there's a lot of that too.
