I couldn't understand it.
And I come to the conclusion watching both those games, they're just not good enough.
They're good enough to compete against the Ottawa's and, you know, the teams that are in the mid-range.
But the better teams, they're not good enough.

the old college try right now i remember when they won six out of seven to three years ago and ended up going to the the finals but i mean i think they're sitting back there and going okay boys we've had our time we better win and they didn't they just put the pedal down and the leafs couldn't handle it and the tampa i mean tampa's power play made the leafs penalty killing look so sick the night before i mean i was sitting there cringing like i'm going come on boys let's
Let's get her done.
And they couldn't do it.
I'm sure they were trying and doing what they could, but they're just not good enough, I think, right now to get it done.
Well, I mean, as a coach, I mean, I always had the rule that if you can't play 12 minutes, we've got to send you to the minors, especially when you're a young kid.
Like, I mean, he's not developing.
I don't care what anybody says.
I think that was sixth game in a row he sat out.
I mean, from before the break and after the break.
Like, I mean, it's doing him no good as a 20-year-old sitting in the stands.
He's got to play.
And whether it's after the break and you decide β
that you're not going to win, you play him a lot, or you send him to the Marlies and let him play 25 minutes a game and get better so that when it comes this time next year, he's a star on the team or at least a regular top nine forward.
But it does no good for a 20-year-old to sit in the stands.
