Last fall, organizers estimate more than 7 million took to the streets nationwide.

In New York, at least eight demonstrations are expected across the city's five boroughs.

LaGuardia Airport closed shortly before midnight, according to the Federal Aviation Administration website.

The FAA page says the airport will be closed until 2 p.m.

Incoming flights are being diverted to other airports.

The FAA ordered the closure shortly after an Air Canada jet collided with a ground vehicle, reportedly a fire truck.

Photos online show the nose of the plane has been ripped off.

Jazz Aviation LP, operating as Air Canada Express, issued a statement confirming the accident.
