There are 10 sports instead of 17 or 18 or whatever, and some are probably unlucky, but there's a freshness about it.

And the big core sports of athletics and swimming and cycling and netball are all there.

And Australia will do very well, and we've got an athletics team that's regenerated itself over the last four or five years.

We've talked about that a lot.

A lot of people are excited about that.

you know, it's very exciting with some familiar faces, but with some new ones as well.

Cycling is going to be, uh, obviously the battle with the Brits, et cetera, et cetera.

So I'm, you know, I'm, I'm going into these games as excited as I've ever been.

And, uh, the first Commonwealth Games I went to do it and worked on was 40 years ago in Scotland.

It was in Scotland, it was in Scotland, uh, in Edinburgh.

And there was a massive boycott, an African boycott of those games.

And, uh,

They were still very, very enjoyable.

I was working as a reporter for Channel 10, so a very different role.

But, you know, getting my hands dirty every day.

So, yeah, I love the Commonwealth Games.

I mean, the Olympics are...

the pinnacle, always will be.

They've got a few problems at the moment, I think, with the athletes.
