I think I would read on holidays kind of what I read throughout the rest of the year.

And it doesn't include Dostoevsky and it doesn't include self-improvement books.

I learned after years of news reading that if you say it convincingly, then you're believed.

My one requirement for a holiday read is that it's a paperback.

I'm not going to lug hardback books away with me.

I haven't gone Kindle.

My wife some years ago bought me as a present a Kindle, and she's the one that uses it.

and uses it a lot on holidays and elsewhere.

But no, I just like a physical book in my hand.

Need to be paperbacks.

And I tend to plan ahead.

So I'm not given to running around the airport trying to find something, you know, in the airport shops.

I'll usually have a couple of things packed that I'm looking forward to getting tucked into.

And a bit of variety.

I like a bit of travel.

I like reading about travel all the time, even when I'm traveling.

I like a bit of fiction maybe.

And then, you know, I might have something.

I'm a bit of a history buff, so I like reading history.

So it could be for many of those.
